Gunnedah Memorial Pool Upgrade Project
Today marked the 60 year anniversary of the dedication to the war memorial on the front of the Gunnedah Memorial Pool complex in 1959. Council hosted a formal opening and plaque unveiling of the upgraded facility with official guests invited to mark the occasion. Former Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson AO and Mayor Jamie Chaffey unveiled the plaque and declared the complex officially open.
Palmers Landscapes were incredibly proud to play a major role with Hines Constructions Pty Ltd working on the single largest infrastructure project to have ever taken place in Gunnedah. From all landscaping areas including turf (so much turf), irrigation, retaining walls, dirt (so much dirt) and lots more - it was a great project to be involved with and a special part of Gunnedah's history.
It's hard to spot us but check out a time lapse video that was set up by Hines Constructions Pty Ltd for the duration of the project here:
It felt great to generate local employment and engage as many local contractors in this project as possible, it's awesome to be a part of your town and the satisfaction that comes with jobs like these is priceless.
Hoping it's a project that lots and lots of people - both local and visitors, will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
